Ok, now a little about Jaguar F-Type R
A toy for eternal boys. Yes, and I want to be a little boy and have such toy ;). If we approach Jaguar as a car in the category “toys for boys” or “daily for short pleasant distances”, then we will be in the seventh heaven. We’ll get a great-looking and crazy-sounding savage. Stylistically, it’s a bit like a bullet – a long mask, short back. This may please you and I am personally bought with this design. A simple British style that thrills me with excitement. Plus a retractable shuttlecock that reminds you that the jokes are over, and by the way the shuttlecock gives a lot and the pressure generated by it is really felt.
Jaguar company history
It’s hard to believe, but the beginning of the Jaguar brand is 1922. Then William Lyons founded the Swallow Sidecar Company. The company, however, is not involved in the production of cars at all, and we have to wait a few more years for the first car.
Initially, the company deals with the production of motorcycle side trolleys. In 1927, however, it started producing aluminum bodies, which were then used by various British brands. There were, among others in the Austin Seven convertible. The breakthrough is 1931, when the first vehicle is made. This is a two-door limousine that has received the name SS1. Two years later, the company changed its name to SS Cars Ltd, while the Jaguar name first appears in 1935 together with the sports model SS100. From now on, all models are called Jaguars. In those days, the cars manufactured by the company are distinguished by powerful engines, high maximum speeds compared to other vehicles from that period, and aerodynamic shapes.
Car of the Year 2019 Jaguar I-Pace
It seemed that Mercedes, Audi or BMW would be the first to respond to the Tesla offensive. None of these things. Jaguar joined the premium electric game first and entered the market with the stunning I-Pace.
Jaguar surprised and warned all other concerns about such a car. Ian Callum, who was responsible for the project, had previously created Aston Martin DB7 and DB9, as well as Jaguar F-Type, and therefore sports cars made of flesh and blood. The dimensions and shape of I-Pace were determined by large batteries located in the car floor. It is therefore 4.68 m long, has a short bonnet and up to 2.99 m wheelbase. This in turn means a fairly large cabin, which can easily accommodate 4 adults. The crossover body is a natural step taking into account the current fashion and shapes forced by the engine design.
The car became the Car of the Year 2019, both in the European Car of the Year plebiscite and the World Car of the Year. Case?
We are writing here about the car of the year, and yet it was supposed to be a session. This time, however, not the cars of the year. Although, to be honest, we hope someone will request photos or a film 🙂
